Project Overview
The site clearance project in Merton Wood had its challenges from the offset. It was identified from the site visit that an asbestos watching brief would be required as a precaution throughout the duration of the project.
Greenfield prepared a COSHH Assessments and a COSHH area for containers found within the waste.
Safety was a top priority throughout the project. Comprehensive method statement and risk assessments were conducted. Greenfield operatives took reasonable care to protect the flooring by laying sheets of marine ply down on the new slab to allow the excavator to work from. Greenfield used a 360-degree excavator and selector grab to pick up the fly-tipped waste. The waste was segregated into its separate waste types to maximise recycling opportunities.
