Project Overview
The demolition project at Lilford Business Centre was undertaken as part of the redevelopment of a business centre to provide a new commercial development in Camberwell, south east London. The existing structures was a mixed use business centre and a combination of office users and warehouse users.
There was multiple challenges throughout this project which our experienced demolition team had to overcome. The eastern elevation sat on the site boundary which was an access road to business within the railway arches. Safety was a top priority throughout the project. Comprehensive method statement and risk assessments were conducted, which had to be adapted for safe demolition of the eastern elevations once the site boundary was unable to be extended. Greenfield worked closely with the client to design a method to allow safe removal for the team and public.
